About Buddha Park
Nestled in the serene town of Ravangla, Sikkim, Buddha Park—also known as Tathagata Tsal—offers breathtaking panoramic views of snow-capped Himalayan peaks. Built between 2006 and 2013 to commemorate the 2250th birth anniversary of Gautam Buddha, the park features a grand statue depicting the Dharma Chakra Mudra, symbolizing Buddha’s first sermon at Sarnath.
Designed around the Chinese concept of Yin and Yang, the park embodies peace, balance, and tranquility. Visitors can stroll through beautifully landscaped gardens adorned with vibrant flowers, sparkling fountains, and well-maintained walkways. The park also houses a spacious prayer hall and a museum, including a special gallery dedicated to the life and teachings of Gautam Buddha.
Open daily from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Buddha Park is a peaceful retreat inviting tourists and devotees alike to experience spiritual reflection amid stunning natural beauty. It’s an ideal destination for those seeking a harmonious blend of culture, spirituality, and scenic Himalayan views.
