2. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you use Sikkim.co:
- Account information: name, email address, and phone number when you sign up.
- Blood donor registration: name, blood group, district, and phone number — all of which are publicly visible to other users once you register as a donor.
- Business submissions: business name, address, contact details, photos, and social links submitted via the Get Listed form.
- Blog submissions: your name (as author) and blog content.
- Contact messages: your name, email, and message when you contact us.
- Usage data: page views and blog view counts (anonymised).
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and improve the platform features.
- To publish your blood donor profile (if you register) so people in need can find you.
- To review and approve business and blog submissions.
- To respond to your contact messages.
- We do not sell your data to third parties.
- We do not use your data for advertising targeting.
4. Data Storage
Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase (Firestore and Firebase Storage) with servers located in Asia. We use Firebase Authentication for account management. Firebase's privacy practices are governed by Google's privacy policy.
5. Public Information
If you register as a blood donor, your name, blood group, district, and phone number will be publicly visible on the Blood Donor Finder page. You can remove yourself from the registry at any time from your profile or the blood donors page.
Approved blogs are public and display your name as the author.
6. Your Rights
- You can update or delete your blood donor registration at any time.
- You can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.
- You can request a copy of your data by emailing hello@sikkim.co.
7. Cookies
We use minimal cookies — only those necessary for Firebase Authentication to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page when we do. For significant changes, we will notify registered users by email.
